Integrated Therapy of Northern Colorado (ITNC) is hiring for a full time music therapist position.

This position is open for immediate hiring and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

ITNC prides itself on providing high-quality and innovative community access to music therapy in addition to our growing 1:1 client caseloads.  ITNC works with children and adults with developmental disabilities, acquired disabilities such as brain injury, and contracts with community partner organizations. We specialize in developing unique and meaningful music therapy programing with community partners to increase access and effectiveness of music therapy to a variety of clientele.

Compensation: ITNC therapy team members are compensated hourly for:

  • Direct Clinical Hours

  • Session planning and documentation

  • Commute time between clients

  • All paperwork/reports, etc

  • Staff and Client Service Meetings

  • Supplemental Project Hours in the event of client cancellations

Hourly compensation rates are based on music therapy experience, education level, and special skills. Comparative to salary, a full time therapist compensation package at ITNC starts between $45-55k; part time compensation is proportionate to your work.

This position is a part-time, moving to a full-time position. Full-time will include Monday-Friday clients/groups. Initial training and onboarding includes observations, trainings, frequent supervision, and other tasks as the full time caseload is established.

Responsibilities: As a member of our therapy team, ITNC music therapists are expected to provide excellent music therapy services in both individual and group settings. Therapists are to be able and willing to drive to provide sessions both in client’s homes and community organizations as well as our clinical space. Thorough documentation and timely reports are required to demonstrate our dedication to excellent, evidence-based treatment. Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential. ITNC therapists must be continuously driven to learn; from our clients, from each other, from our healthcare allies, and from music therapy resources and literature. 

Requirements: 

  • MT-BC Credential

  • Reliable Transportation and Vehicle Insurance

  • Masters Degree Preferred

  • 1 year or more experience preferred

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds, sit or stand for moderate periods of time, carry needed musical equipment between settings, and safely physically support clients as needed. 

  • Willingness to receive and give open feedback

  • Ability to work with a team in positive and supportive ways

  • Ability to work reliably and independently, advocating for and accepting support as needed

  • A desire to learn and grow in your therapeutic and musical expertise

    - a variety of preferred and improvised music along with instruments and interactive movement can motivate greater participation in challenging skill areas.
